A banda sonora do meu Outono

Dois álbuns, Ballad Of The Broken Seas e Sunday At Devil Dirty, e qual deles o melhor, é uma questão que tenho colocado muitas vezes a mim próprio. Apostaria no primeiro, mas não quero arriscar. Arrisco, isso sim, a dizer que as 24 canções que compõem estes dois álbuns são autênticas preciosidades, como aquelas que eu um dia sonhei achar no fundo mar, dentro de um baú em forma de caixa de música. Mas, sonhos á parte. Isobel Campbell e Mark Lanegan são as vozes que ecoam por este meu Outono fora. Vozes que soam perfeitas a cada balada sussurrada ao ouvido. Vozes com hálito a whisky vintage. E isto não é um sonho á parte, é uma dupla de sonho.

Quando o lobo não é mau

Os a Jigsaw completam 10 anos no próximo mês de Dezembro, e os festejos já começaram. Prova disso é o blogue da banda, que está recheado de coisas boas. Aos mais curiosos, sigam por este trilho. Vão ver pegadas de lobo pelo caminho, mas não se assustem. Como vão poder reparar, este lobo não é mau. C´mon boys.

Enquanto não chega o novo álbum, haja uma música assim para me abrir ainda mais o apetite de novidades. Para já o segredo impera, mas os The National deixaram escapar The Runaway e eu agradeço. Resta-me levantar os braços, e não resistir a fazer-lhes mais uma vénia.

I wanna see a revival tonight

Há um conjunto de músicas fabulosas em Broken, novo álbum dos Soulsavers. São praticamente todas, mas arrisco destacar algumas: Unbalanced Pieces, You Will Miss Me When I Burn, Some Misunderstanding e All The Way Down, são muito provavelmente os melhores 22 minutos seguidos do ano musical. No entanto, a melhor música destes senhores (vénia a Mark Lanegan, lado esquerdo da imagem), não mora em Broken. Para mim, e certamente para mais gente, Revival, do disco anterior, é a música que melhor condiz com o título deste novo álbum, porque é realmente a música que parte tudo. É mesmo assim que termino: a música que se segue parte tudo.
